Lights! Camera! Auction!

UUCF Annual Member-to-Member Auction

February 13, 2010, 7 p.m.

Co-chairs: christinestencelatgmail [dot] com (Christine Stencel) and jennie [dot] gemignaniatgmail [dot] com (Jennie Gemignani)

We're bringing the magic of Hollywood to Oakton! The magic of the movies is a lot like the magic of UUCF--a cast of thousands (okay, maybe more like hundreds) coming together to create stories of hope, love, and justice with our shared time, talents, and treasures. Our theme shines a spotlight on what makes our congregation and this auction so star-studded. It will be a gala night of delectable food, beverages, music, and heart-stopping bidding for the always-amazing array of services, items, and events offered by UUCF members, friends, and sponsors.

You Belong at the Gala Event!
Reserve your ticket and your bidding number for the big night--Saturday, February 13. You can reserve your bidder number online, or print out the Bidder Reservation Form and mail it or bring it with your check or cash payment to UUCF prior to Auction night. Tickets are just $10 per person in advance (purchased by Feb. 12) or $15 at the door. Your bidder reservation is your access to the trove of amazing services and wares that have been donated.

We received more than 250 donations, large and small, and there's something to tempt and tantalize every bidder. Plus Auction Night is one of the biggest social events of the UUCF year. Come just to enjoy the food, the drinks, the energy and excitement, and the laughter and fun that always accompanies the Live Auction and the Heads & Tails Game.

Childcare is available for a modest fee. You must register online or contact the miamfrenchatgmail [dot] com (auction organizers) to let them know you will need childcare.

There is no dress code on Auction Night, but we invite anyone who has ever been inspired by a favorite actor or who loves seeing the fashions worn by the stars on the red carpet to come decked out in their favorite Hollywood-inspired attire.

If you can't make it to Auction Night on February 13, or you want to get a jumpstart on your bidding, you can take part in the Online Auction. Learn how the Online Auction works. Not every donation is winnable online, but you'll find opportunities to get the high bid in on a vast assortment of great items and services.

Volunteer to Help. Could you spare just a few hours to help prepare food, tally up the bids on auction night and identify the winners, sell raffle tickets, provide child care, etc? Many hands make light work for all and pitching in is a great way to fully enjoy the auction and experience and share the excitement of "Opening Night." Please become part of the auction cast and crew by filling out the online volunteer form.

Have a last-minute donation? The deadline has passed to get donations into the catalog, but we can still add them to the online auction and addendum that will be given out on auction night. Fill out the donation form and let Jennie or Christine know that you're making the donation.

Visit the Auction Table in the Commons after services each Sunday to get more information, drop off forms, and be part of "Lights! Camera! Auction!"
