2009-2010 Concert Series

We are excited to announce a new Concert Series here at UUCF. Five music events throughout the year will showcase outstanding musical artists while supporting great causes. Most events will have a $10-15 suggested donation (students free), with half of the proceeds benefitting a charity or cause close to the mission of UUCF.

Carleton College Concert

Singers and Choir from Carleton College present selections from the American Mosaic. Free admission, with donations to UUCF's Share the Plate recipient for the Month of March, Habitat for Humanity, welcomed. Reception follows in the Commons stop to meet the singers and say hello to UUCF member Anna Newman who is a junior at Carleton. Drumming Workshop and Performance

Sunday, March 21, 2 p.m. in the Sanctuary

With Tom Teasley. A $10 suggested donation. No drumming experience necessary. Tom Teasley fuses a variety of performing styles and instruments from Africa, India and the Middle East with American jazz. He combines ancient instruments with the latest in music technology including digital looping. He is a three time Fulbright-Hayes awardee which has taken him on several trips to the Middle East to collaborate with master drummers and oud players. He was recently nominated for a Helen Hayes award for his sound design work for Constellation Theater Company. Tom will be offering a workshop/ mini performance featuring a variety of drumming techniques from around the world.



Oberlin at Oakton Concert

Join us to enjoy performances by honor students from the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music. This is our ninth season of concerts by these talented young musicians. Free Admission. Join us for refreshments after the concert.
