Worship Committee
The Worship Committee works under the leadership of Parish Minister Rev. Mary Katherine Morn to develop, present, and support consistently high-quality worship services while being flexible and responsive to the needs of our congregation. The group's goal is to make worship at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax welcoming, accessible, uplifting, relevant, and, ultimately, transformative to the lives of everyone seeking a spiritual home with us.
Committee Structure
The worship committee is composed of the Parish Minister (chair), the Music and Arts Director, the Lay Minister for Worship and Arts (Secretary), representatives of the Women’s Spirit Circle and the Music Committee, the lay reader coordinator, the Sunday Service Team leader, and at least two at-large members. The worship committee meets every other month from September through June and once in the summer. Twice a year the Worship Committee invites the Minister for Programs, Executive Director, and selected leaders of the Sunday Service Teams (Sound, Ushers, Flowers), and others involved in worship as needed, to join with them and function as the Worship Coordinating Council.
