Energy Masters training

Sat., Nov. 18, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Social Hall. A UUCF Auction event, now open to everyone. Registration fee of $20 will cover the cost of training materials. The UUCF Climate Action Group is sponsoring a half-day Energy Masters training in energy efficiency and water conservation techniques and in delivering community education and outreach programs. Modeled after the Master Gardeners program, participants will receive comprehensive energy efficiency training and then have opportunities to volunteer at a variety of service projects helping low-income, elderly and disabled residents lower their energy costs and energy use.

Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions (FACS) is kicking off Fairfax to Zero to press Fairfax County to adopt a budget for an Energy and Climate office to continue deepening and expanding energy efficiencies, renewable energy and to keep pace with other leading jurisdictions.
