November Vespers – “Memories”

Please join some of our Szentgerice visitors as they, together with UUCF travelers to their village over many years, explore some of their richest and deeply meaningful memories from 27 years of partnership. Enjoy video footage of our choir’s first adventure there. Sing songs in Hungarian and English. Welcome our friends and listen to their hearts. Embrace our diverse UU spirit. Arc of Sanctuary: Ancestors to New Members

Date: Sun., Oct. 28, 9:15 & 11:15 a.m., Sanctuary. Worship Leader: Assistant Minister Rev. Sarah Caine. Music: Revolution Ringers handbells and Merry Makers (9:15), Community Chorale (11:15) Religious Exploration: RE classes in session for age 2-Grade 12. Preschool, Middle School and High School begin and end in class. At 9:15, Kindergarten-Grade 3 begin in the Chapel and end in class. At 11:15, Kindergarten-Grade 3 begin in the Library and end in class. At both services, Grades 4-6 begin in the Sanctuary and end in class. Child care to age 3 available in the Sanctuary Nursery.  

Pronoun Ribbons: Honoring Gender Identity

UUCF became a “Welcoming Congregation” (going through the Welcoming Congregation curriculum) in 1994. Since then, we’ve fought for marriage equality, inclusive sexuality education in schools and been part of Reston’s first Pride celebration. The way the U.S. views gay, lesbian and bisexual people has changed a lot since 1994.
