“What Lies Upstream” documentary

Fri., Mar. 15, 6:30 p.m. (sign in), 7-9 p.m. (screening), Chapel. A scandalous political thriller about a mysterious chemical spill that left 300,000 people without drinking water for months. The filmmaker takes his investigatory grit to West Virginia where he discovers scientific cover-ups and political malfeasance across all levels of government, poisoning the entire system meant to protect drinking water. UU Summer Camp

Jun. 24-28, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Frederick, 4880 Elmer Derr Rd., Frederick, MD. The Unitarian Universalist Congregations of Frederick and Rockville, MD are partnering to offer a UU Summer Camp in Frederick. This camp will be for rising 1st-6th graders and for 7th-8th graders as “counselors in training.” High Schoolers interested in working as camp counselors should email the directors. The goal of UU Summer Camp is for campers to experience connection, beloved community, practicing peace, respect for the earth and joyful living! Cost: $125 for first child and $106 for each additional child.
