Education Assistant Melissa Campos-Poehnert supports children, youth and adult education programs at UUCF. She joined the UUCF staff in October 2016.

Melissa relocated to Northern Virginia with her husband in 2012. She discovered the UUCF community in 2013 shortly after her daughter was born. With early childhood education as a new priority in her life, Melissa joined the 2s & 3s RE teaching team in 2014 and continued in 2015 because the experience was so rewarding. She looks forward to raising her daughter in the UUCF RE program.

Melissa’s administrative experience in non-profit organizations and higher education, along with her commitment to lifelong learning, led her to the education assistant position. She graduated from Elms College with degrees in Spanish and speech language pathology and from Simmons College with a master’s degree in gender and cultural studies.
