Date/TimeTue., July 28, 2020 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
At last month’s General Assembly, the Unitarian Universalist Association voted to adopt a call to action “to engage in the national movement to end anti-Blackness and defund the police.” What does “defund the police” mean to you? All Souls Unitarian’s ADORE (A Dialogue on Race and Ethnicity) invites you to join a conversation examining racism in policing through U.S. history, particularly in modern times.
Before the session, the ADORE group invites you to contribute to its “historical overview” related to acts of racism (events or political decisions) in policing, as well as actions or policies that have countered racism in policing. We will start the Jul. 28 session with a discussion of this overview.
