Date/TimeSun., July 26, 2020 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Struggling to hold conversations with friends and family about these political times? Interested in building your skills so you can have more fruitful conversations about racism, immigration, police violence or anti-racist protest? This SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) NOVA workshop is where you want to be! We recognize as white people that a large part of our #whitefolkwork is bringing our friends and family along and challenging white supremacy in our homes, workplaces and other predominantly white community spaces we occupy. Many of us are deeply uncomfortable and unpracticed at disrupting everyday racism, but with new skills and in building community with like-minded folks, we can get the support we need to do this essential work together. Register here for this Zoom workshop.
***All SURJ gatherings are open to Black, Indigenous and/or People of Color.*** Content warning: open, frank discussions about white resistance to anti-racism and white fragility.Contact:
