Fairfax-based FACETS provides over 23,600 meals to unhoused individuals and families in Fairfax each year by collaborating with 32 faith partners. UUCF is a Hot Meals program faith partner, and provides nearly 100 hot breakfasts the fourth Sunday on even months at two delivery locations along Route 50 in Fairfax. These numbers have increased with the pressures of inflation, so we will be making more meals to meet that need. More information: FACETS Hot Meals Program website or a Hot Meals Program video.
Donations: Sign up here to donate food. Please bring donations to the UUCF Sanctuary Kitchen on Fri., Dec. 22, 3:30-6:30 p.m., or Sat., Dec. 23, 8:30-9 a.m. For drop-off, Sun., Dec. 17 is also fine, or as arranged when the church is open other days of the week. Everything should be labeled “For Hot Meals Prep on Saturday” and grouped together in the fridge and side counter.
