Date/Time
Sat., August 20, 2022 from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pmDescription:
Last year, UUCF and UU congregations across the country passed the 8th Principle, calling on us all to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions. This calling directly confronts many troubles in the world today, including the assaults on reproductive rights, teaching truth and democracy. Normally, the Racial Justice Steering Committee (RJSC) holds a retreat in August. This year, however, the RJSC invites all congregants to the UUCF 8th Principle Retreat to get deeper into this work as the new congregational year begins. The retreat is a time to center and focus on what’s truly important, find inspiration, celebrate what we have already done, and envision how we can deepen our work and our impact. RSVP here. Lunch will be provided and will start at 12 p.m. The program will begin at 12:30 p.m.
