Dec. 6, 2023 Update: Beacon House asks that we pay special attention to the 20 named children at the top of the sign-up who have the greatest need. We’ve got four children whose gift requests haven’t been met and another three whose requests have been partially met. Please leave gifts, unwrapped and labeled, under the Angel Tree by the end of worship this Sunday, Dec. 10.
The UUCF Angel Tree is set up in the Commons, with tags for Beacon House and Britepaths clients. Britepaths’ tags have a link to its website where donations can be made toward the purchase of gifts for children in need. Beacon House tags are divided into two categories: kids with wish lists and kids without wish lists. Both categories are combined in one sign-up. Some of their requests may cost more than you want to spend. If so, you can choose to help with the purchase by purchasing a gift card.
Please leave gifts unwrapped under the Angel Tree by the end of worship on Dec. 10. If the gift is for a specific child (one with a wish list), label the gift with the recipient’s name. Otherwise, please note the age of the child on the gift.
In all cases, gift cards are welcomed and sometimes preferred. Popular gift cards include Amazon, Visa, Walmart and Target. Gift cards should be for $25, and you can donate as many as you want.
