Each winter, UUCF partners with Vale United Methodist Church, Unity of Fairfax, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Oakton and others to participate in FACETS’ winter shelter program by hosting homeless individuals from Fairfax County for 1 week. This year is a bit different, with a single venue (near Tysons Corner) so the guests will not be at UUCF. We will provide food for the venue Wed., Feb. 10-Sat., Feb. 13. Volunteers will prepare food at home and bring it to the Commons at UUCF where volunteers will assemble it into individual serving containers that will be transported to the shelter.
