OWL (Our Whole Lives) teachers
Our Whole Lives (OWL) is a program developed by the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ. The three-day training is required for all OWL teachers. We offer OWL at Grades 1, 5, 8 and high school. Contact Dan Earle, for Grades 1 and 5 or Linnea Nelson, Director of Religious Exploration, for Grade 8.
Youth Group Advisors
Adult advisors are trained volunteers who work throughout our youth program. They share leadership responsibilities with the youth in facilitating Sunday morning classes, overnight events and other youth programming.
Youth Adult Committee (YAC)
Our Youth Adult Committee (YAC) plans events and activities for UUCF’s youth program. Contact our youth ministry coordinator, for more information.
The Religious Exploration (RE) Committee is responsible for recruiting RE volunteers, supporting the policies of the RE program and providing human resources for RE programs. They participate in setting the overall direction of the UUCF RE program for children and youth and provide guidance in choosing curriculum and supporting teachers. The RE Committee reports to the DRE to ensure that the congregation’s RE program goals are consistent with the overall congregational mission, vision, values, and strategic direction. The committee also works closely with the RE staff to offer guidance and support for program implementation.
Our youth program occasionally needs chaperones, drivers and other adult volunteers for youth field trips, conferences (Cons) and other activities. Please contact Courtney Firth, our youth ministry coordinator if you are interested in volunteering.
