Former UUCF member Dee Idnani visited the Khasi Hills in India after a 10-year absence. Dee initiated UUCF’s
partnership with the Puriang Unitarian Church. She attended the Nov. 19 ceremony during which the Puriang Unitarian School received a 500,000-rupee ($6,659) grant from the government to build new classrooms and procure additional land near the school. Dee offered a brief congratulatory message on behalf of the UUCF Partner Church Circle. The grant was arranged by the newly elected state legislator representing Puriang. The ceremony included speeches and student dance and acrobatic performances. Check out the local TV report. Dee promises a full report upon her return to the U.S.
