We can’t alleviate the rising tide of economic inequality if the Affordable Care Act is dismantled. UUs will converge on DC to challenge the new administration’s plan to weaken access to affordable health care and worsen economic inequality.

Learn about health care policy and ways to improve access, hear from those working on the front lines pursuing health care for all and reducing economic inequality, reflect on how our faith compels us to act in these uncertain times, and on day 3 (lobby day), deliver UU voices to lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

Advocates for justice Sister Simone Campbell of Nuns on the Bus fame, Bishop Douglas Miles of Koinonia Baptist Church, and author Chuck Collins will energize us to take action. Also hear from the National Nurses Union about the impact of health care reform on patients and nurses. Challenge lawmakers on the pernicious impacts repeal will have for people of color, women, recent arrivals to the US and America’s poorest communities.
