Thank you to UUCF members and friends who donated school supplies to Beacon House kids! Contributors from UUCF and beyond donated 69 pre-packaged school supply bundles and 18 backpacks through the online campaign and many, many individual supplies – looseleaf paper, glue sticks, markers, crayons, etc. – during the Jul. 12 UUCF Food Drive. With the hardships brought on by COVID-19, the need for supplies was significant, and Beacon House appreciates congregants’ generosity. Thanks to Kerry Fraser for helping organize the online portion of the school supply drive and to Social Justice Coordinator Andrew Batcher for coordinating the drop-off of school supplies during the Food Drive. Whether school takes place virtually or in-person this fall, the students now have the tools they need to learn and succeed!
