In October, the congregation generously donated $2,552 to the Transgender Education Association (TGEA), UUCF’s October Share the Plate offering recipient. Those donations help TGEA with their mission to provide support for transgender and gender nonconforming individuals to help them understand and accept their lives and overcome a sense of isolation through a supportive environment and day-to-day assistance, including social opportunities, peer counseling, and referrals to professional, institutional, and other appropriate resources.
