The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia, MD, seeks a half-time community organizer to build relationships among the high school youth and young adults in our congregation and our Columbia neighborhood. The director of youth and young adult ministry (DYYAM) will work with this developing community to craft a vision for the ministry they desire and then facilitate its implementation.
The DYYAM will join a collegial UUCC staff team that collaborates in cultivating an institution that makes a positive difference for the whole community. As we work to understand and dismantle white supremacy and intersectional oppressions, we seek staff who are compelled to work where their values are aligned.
The ideal candidate will be a part of the demographic they will be serving; persons of color and/or those who identify as LGBTQ are especially encouraged to apply.
Preferred start date is Aug. 1; work hours are flexible. Salary commensurate with Unitarian Universalist Association fair compensation guidelines. Please send a resume and cover letter to email@example.com by Jun. 21.
