Join a SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) DC Reading/Action Group! SURJ DC has hosted reading/action groups for nearly a decade. Be part of this legacy of antiracist learning and action. Sign up by Oct. 6 to join a group. These groups are places where (primarily) white people can learn, acquire antiracist skills and develop the capacity and courage to identify and confront racism in themselves, others and institutions, with the goal of meaningfully contributing to dismantling white supremacy. Groups are led by trained facilitators in a space where you can be vulnerable, say the wrong thing, learn and unlearn; a space that creates a community of belonging and connection; a space that ignites a willingness to take antiracist action.
