UUCF offers a variety of worship, fellowship and music events during the holidays.
Holiday events
- UUCF Angel Tree – Sanctuary Commons, with tags for Beacon House and Britepaths clients. Please leave gifts unwrapped under the Angel Tree by the end of worship on Dec. 10. Full details here.
- Jubilate Deo Holiday Choral Celebration – Sun., Dec. 10, 10 a.m., Sanctuary & via livestream. Dan Forrest’s Jubilate Deo, conducted by Director of Music & Arts Laura Weiss, will be performed during Sunday worship and will feature the UUCF orchestra, several soloists from the Vienna Choral Society, and the adult choirs of UUCF and Cedar Lane UU Congregation.
- Blue Christmas Service – Fri., Dec. 15, 7-9 p.m., Sanctuary & via livestream. Gather for an evening of reflection, ritual and song as we explore the themes of grief, loss, worry and sadness that some people feel during the holiday season. The Pastoral Care Team hosts a cookie and tea reception afterward.
- Mystery & Myth: Stories of the Holiday Season – Sun., Dec. 17, 10 a.m., Sanctuary & via livestream
- High School Youth Visit Meadowlark Gardens – Sun., Dec. 17, 6-9 p.m. Sign-up and details here.
- Readings & Carols for a Christmas Eve Morning – Sun., Dec. 24, 10 a.m., Sanctuary & via livestream. Music provided by the UUCF Choral Chamber Ensemble and Revolution Ringers Handbells.
- Family Nativity Pageant – Sun., Dec. 24, 4 p.m., Sanctuary & via livestream. Live Nativity Pageant with music provided by the UUCF Voices of Hope Youth Choir.
- Christmas Eve Candlelight Service – Sun., Dec. 4, 7 p.m., Sanctuary & via livestream
- New Year’s Eve Day – Sun., Dec. 31 – Sharing the service provided by the Unitarian Universalist Association via livestream. The UUCF campus will be closed, with no in-person worship. Link coming soon.
