UUCF shares half of its weekly offering with a nonprofit doing work consistent with UUCF’s mission. The Share the Plate recipient for November is Western Fairfax Christian Ministries, which provides food and financial support to those at risk of hunger and homelessness in western Fairfax County, including Centreville, Chantilly, Clifton, Fairfax, Fairfax Station, Herndon, and Oak Hill. Their primary programs are the Emergency Food Program including two free food markets, 15 satellite site refrigerators, and home delivery and an emergency housing financial services program, which assists with rent, mortgage payments, and utility bills. The ministry serves an average of 700 families and 5,000 individuals a year. DONATE HERE.
