Each year since 2005, UUCF members have donated $1,500-$3,000 a month to local, national, and international charities through the Share the Plate program. Share the Plate contributes half of cash and 100% of designated checks from each service’s collection plate to organizations nominated by UUCF members and pledging friends. UUCF Share the Plate collections are designed to raise awareness within the congregation about local, regional, national, and international social justice concerns and at the same time give congregants the chance to financially support a wide variety of social justice organizations. Social Justice Coordinator Andrew Batcher and the Lay Minister for Social Justice review nominated organizations each November for designation in the following year. They select the recipients based on their compatibility with UUCF’s mission. If you have a non-profit organization that stirs your passion, please use the form at the bottom of this page.
