Share the Plate Offering
UUCF shares half of its weekly offering with a nonprofit doing work consistent with UUCF’s mission. The Share the Plate recipient for July is the Howard University Stigma Project, which focuses on education, research, and advocacy to fight the stigma that prevents individuals with HIV, mental health concerns, and other conditions from disclosing diagnoses to loved ones, seeking testing and medical care, and adhering to treatment and follow up. Stigma has become a major reason why the HIV epidemic and other public health crises continue today, and the project aims to fight that stigma. DONATE HERE.
