Share the Plate Offering

UUCF shares half of its weekly offering with a nonprofit doing work consistent with UUCF’s mission. The Share the Plate recipient for October is the Transgender Education Association – or TGEA – which provides support for transgender and gender nonconforming individuals to help them understand and accept their lives and overcome a sense of isolation through a supportive environment and day-to-day assistance, including social opportunities, peer counseling, and referrals to professional, institutional, and other appropriate resources. TGEA actively promotes and encourages participation in an extensive public education program for individuals, groups, medical and mental health professionals, and colleges, to eliminate prejudice and discrimination within the general public. DONATE HERE.
