All incoming 7th grade students are now considered “youth” at UUCF. This new status brings new privileges and requires new parental permissions. Thus, all 7th grade youth must be re-enrolled in the Religious Exploration program. Seventh grade youth can choose from four different courses this year:
- OWL or Our Whole Lives (7-9th grade, full-year, comprehensive human sexuality class)
- Coming of Age (7th-8th grade, explores personal values and Unitarian Universalist history and identity)
- Crossing Paths (7-9th grades, survey of major world religions).
It is recommended that students take OWL in either 8th or 9th grade, and Coming of Age in either 7th or 8th grade.
