A memorial service honoring the life of UUCF member William Kirby will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 3pm in the Sanctuary. A congregant since 2014, Bill died on September 13 of glioblastoma. He was 84 years old. He is survived by his wife Susan Kirby, daughter Janet, son Thomas, and two grandsons, Jordi and Ferran Amaral. Bill had retired from his 38-year career as a U.S. Geological Survey research hydrologist in 2005. At UUCF he had participated in the Muslim Liaison Group, the Global Affairs Discussion Group, Science, Reason & Religion, a Soul Matters group, and the Ideas Forum.
