For many years, UUCF has promoted holiday tree sales through Vale United Methodist Church in Oakton. Buy a freshly cut tree and 100% of net proceeds go to Rise Against Hunger and local anti-hunger efforts in Fairfax County. Wreaths, pine garlands, tree stands, crafts, and more are also for sale.
Vale UMC also has a Sponsor a Tree Program that lets you donate a tree for a local family in need – a great way to have a double-impact on fighting hunger and for those who have artificial trees to contribute to the hunger mission.
