Beware of Email Phishing Targeting UUCF Congregants
Scammers are impersonating ministers in very sophisticated ways in an effort to cheat people.
Believe it or not, they are:
- Using fake email addresses and sending scam “phishing” emails to would-be victims.
- Texting congregants pretending to be Rev. David Miller and in need of emails/calls/gift cards. These requests are NOT from UUCF’s minister. Please do not open these emails. Simply delete them.
UUCF’s ministers do not reach out to congregants in this way, so never provide money or personal information in response to a request without verifying that it is legitimate.
