This exhibition features South Lakes High School students from all grade levels. The students created works that express their perspectives on issues such as: environmental justice, racial equality, mental health, and community resilience. The students were invited to employ any media they chose, which resulted in a diverse exhibition of work in many styles and media. The South Lakes Art Department values and promotes student voices above other aspects of the art making process. Art is a non-discursive form of knowledge that can offer students an effective way to express their voices and senses of being in a complex and changing world.
