Chalice Community Theatre, an outreach ministry of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington (UUCA), is proud to present this year’s musical, “Once Upon a Mattress” within the carefully orchestrated drag-story format. UUCA believes that the rising volume of rhetoric against “others” of all kinds, but particularly toward the LGBTQIA+ community, the message of inclusion and acceptance, wrapped up in a package of silly song and dance, is a vital statement to LGBTQIA+ youth and adults, as well as to the community at large about how we all belong.
