High School Border Trip Registration Now Open

March 29-April 4, 2026 (the same time as Fairfax County Public Schools spring break)

Register 9th-12th graders here with $150 deposit. Total cost: $1650 (including airfare)

UUCF High School youth are invited to enroll in a six-session Religious Exploration (RE) course about immigration justice, which culminates in a week-long trip to Arizona to participate in the Borderlinks program. This is an opportunity for students to learn first-hand about US immigration policy and practices by witnessing the situation at the US border.

The 5-day Borderlinks program will include meals, housing, and ground transportation. The total cost will be $1,650 per person including round-trip airfare. The UUCF RE and Social Justice programs will fundraise and ask for a UUCF Endowment Fund Grant to help offset costs. Unitarian Universalist groups have worked extensively with Borderlinks and many travel programs.

Payment Schedule:

  • With this registration: pay $150 deposit
  • By September 1, 2025: Pay $500
  • By December 1, 2025: Pay $500
  • By March 1, 2026: Pay $500 (this payment might not be needed if fundraising is successful)
