“I trust you. Do you trust me?”
Imagine entering a busy outdoor shopping district in one of the major cities of the world. Setting up a sign that says simply, “I trust you. Do you trust me? Hug Me.” Opening up your arms wide and being willing to accept whatever impact that message would have on the crush of passersby. The “Hug Me” social experiment, shown in this viral YouTube video, places a blindfolded man in a public space inviting hugs from strangers. The experiment aims to foster unity, trust, and human connection. Proving that despite fear or negative perceptions, people are willing to show love and acceptance. Condolences to Matt Reider
Condolences to Matt Reider and his family on the death of his mother, Martha Reider, who passed away peacefully on January 9, at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert Reider; her older sisters Virginia and Maureen, her younger sister Kay and her youngest brother Timmy. She is survived by her two sons and their families – Matthew, wife Lily, and son Stephen; and Nicholas, wife Lisa, son William, and daughter Megan. She is also survived by nine younger siblings, innumerable nieces, nephews, and their children.
