UUCF Lay Pastoral Care Team

The lay Pastoral Care Team assists the ministers in caring for those experiencing times of challenge, loss, transition, and celebration. Team members are trained and supervised by the minister and professional lay leaders. The team is a caring presence and maintains a covenant of respect and confidentiality. Team members do not provide psychotherapy, but refer to professional care when needed. They offer supportive visitation on the telephone, in the home and hospital, at UUCF, during acute episodes, and during convalescence. They also help provide information for families about end-of-life arrangements and hospice care.
