Roland Cyr

Longtime UUCF member Roland Cyr has passed away from the effects of dementia. He was 78. Roland joined UUCF in 1983 and met his wife, Betsy Bicknell, at UUCF. Roland taught Religious Exploration and was involved for many years in the Men’s Group. Our condolence go out to Betsy, and to Roland’s and Betsy’s sons Owen and Erik.

Mary Tripp

Longtime UUCF member Mary Tripp, age 92, passed away on December 24, 2024, surrounded by family. Condolences to Mary’s husband, Bob Tripp, and her daughter, Sarah Keely, who is also a UUCF member. Bob and Mary joined UUCF in 1975. Over the years, Mary served on the UUCF Board, organized Oberlin concerts and was very active in the Partner Church program. She was also active in the Memoirs Group and Wednesday Morning Book Group.

Memorial Service for Bruce Wheeler

A memorial service for longtime UUCF member Bruce Wheeler will be held on Thursday, January 23, at 11 am in the Sanctuary. Bruce passed away on December 22. He was 73 years old. Bruce was active in and dedicated to the UUCF choir since he joined the congregation in 1988. He was also one of the first members of Mosaic Harmony and sang with that choir for more than 10 years. Bruce was a member of the UUCF men’s group for more than 30 years, was an organizer and attendee of the adult retreat for more than 20 years, served on the Caring Committee, and supported the RE and Youth programs for many years. Friends and
