As announced at the Annual Meeting on Jun. 4, UUCF will address how to effectively serve its mission with the financial realities of our time by examining staffing and program needs. To start this process, a Congregational Restructuring Advisory Team is being formed in July to study staffing/programs and then make recommendations to the Coordinating Team (CT) and Board of Directors by November 2023.
The Advisory Team will rely on diverse perspectives and specialized skills, and will consist of members of the congregation, at least one board member and Senior Minister Rev. David Miller.
The CT and board seek congregational members to serve on this Advisory Team. The goal will be to use the team’s expertise, along with input from the congregation and staff, to make recommendations to reduce UUCF’s overall personnel costs and provide more equitable staff compensation, leading to a future balanced budget. Ideal team candidates will have skills in the following areas:
-
Background in human resources or relevant work experience;
-
Broad knowledge of UUCF programs, budget, vision and mission through significant committee or lay leadership involvement;
-
Professional experience in the strategic identification of current or future program needs as filtered through an organizational mission;
-
Experience with analytical and organizational capabilities to help determine how best to allocate resources or adjust service levels;
-
Effective communication and problem-solving skills; and
-
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
If you have the requested skills and are interested in being considered for this team, please contact Rev. David Miller by Jul. 10.
