The UUCF Program Evaluation Committee (PEC) is looking for members to serve 3-year terms. The PEC works mostly in the fall and winter and produces a final report presentation to the Board of Directors in the spring.
In previous years, the PEC has conducted assessments and produced recommendations on the following programs: fellowship, social justice, financial stewardship, property stewardship, membership and Religious Exploration. In the coming years, the PEC expects to be tasked with reviews of caring and wellness, adult programs and how we evaluate of the ministry of the congregation. The PEC gathers information from a variety of sources including congregational documents, interviews with congregants, focus groups, surveys and conversations with staff and/or volunteers at other UU congregations to find out how they deal with similar issues.
The group divides up some work among individual members and then reaches consensus for a final report. Helpful skills include writing, asking questions in a neutral way to gain unbiased information, analyzing data (but nothing too complicated!) and coming up with recommendations.
If you are interested in serving on the PEC, please fill out the following application. Once all applications are received, the PEC will review them with the Coordinating Team and select new committee members. All applicants will be notified once a decision is made.
For more information about the PEC’s work, please see previous years’ reports here.
